Boston Celtics forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis now has acquired a new skill: hauling lobsters off the Maine coast. Leaving from Popham with Richard Gilmore and friends on Saturday, June 18th, he spent part of the day pulling traps and learning how lobstermen make their living. He noted on Twitter, ” I have a different respect for catching lobsters. It was hard.”
Davis had previously received Maine lobsters shipped to him by Gilmore’s Sea Foods. He was anxious to see where they had come from and to meet the folks who had shipped them. Visiting the Gilmore fish market, Davis complimented owner Ben Gilmore for providing the freshest possible Maine seafood.
Glenn Davis has posted a video of him hauling lobster traps in Maine on YouTube — Click here to see it.
